About Us

Our Club was originally founded in 1979 as Droitwich Spa Boys F.C. with just a single team, but subsequently changed its name to Droitwich Spa Boys and Girls FC, before eventually then settling on our current name, Droitwich Spa Youth FC.

The club has seen significant growth over the years, and we now currently run over 35 squads with a playing membership of around 400 boys and girls, in all age groups from 6 to 18, providing a pathway from youth football into the Droitwich adults teams.

Droitwich Spa Youth FC has achieved ‘3 Star Accredited’ status with England football (England Football Accredited | England Football ), which means all the club coaches are qualified to a minimum of FA Level 1 standard. Age groups up to Under 11 play Mini Soccer (5 & 7 a-side) and from Under 11 play 9 a-side until Under 13 where they move up to 11 a-side. Our teams are either entered in local Leagues such as the Ambassador, or Mercian Leagues, or where we feel appropriate, the Midland Junior Premier League.

From September through to the end of the season, all our teams have a mid-week training session allocated on the new 4G pitch at King George’s Playing Fields, the home of Droitwich Spa football; where we also have access to the recently refurbished pavilion with all its facilities, including the bar.

From September 2024, all our teams will either play their matches at King George’s Playing Fields, or Chawson Valley playing fields, a short walk away, where we have and maintain another three pitches.
